The Magellan

This game is based off the Magellan spaceship role playing game we did in class. In this game there are several locations including the bridge, kitchen, boiler room, and multiple basketball courts. This is a role-playing game where you are a crew member of the Magellan spaceship who is tasked with first decoding an alien message and secondly putting together a basketball team that can save the galaxy! After completing your first mission the captain asks you to put together a basketball team worthy of battling the aliens. You can choose different routes from here if you talk to the side character, they might give you some valuable information so you can make put together the best team for the best ending. There are many items in this game as well. Some are essential to talk to characters; others will reveal the tasks the characters are able to do. As well depending on how many of a certain item you collect the ending may change. There are four endings to this game. One is premature due to the fact you choose to poison the other team instead of battling them honorably. The second ending you lose the basketball game that is supposed to save your galaxy. These two ending are hard to choose because all signs point (so to speak) to the next two endings. The second to best ending is a victory over the aliens after playing a 1v1 game in which the reward is saving the galaxy. The best ending is the one you only get by talking to the correct character at the end. You will get a set of instructions to follow that will let you easily win the game in a way you would not have thought to do. The only way to get these special instructions is to choose the right character to represent the Magellan in the basketball game. If you talk to all characters even ones just sitting around you will find the answer to the best player is obvious. There are many different characters the ones on the bridge are important in the first mission of decoding the message, these character include the captain, robot, and navigation master which will all be handy to talk to again. After getting access to the great hallway you are introduced to more side characters and the map that gave you access will now show you the way to go. Make sure to take it to the only person who can read maps on the Magellan. After talking to several different characters. It is important to talk to those in the great hall again they have a magic item that will help you choose who will save the galaxy. In the end once you have talked to everybody and made the decision talk to that person one more time (they will tell you to) to seal your decision before going to the coach, then its game on! Follow the instructions the coach gave you and make sure you follow the rules of a normal basketball game and don’t go out of bounds!
